Charlotte Crosby makeup look

I did tell you all that I would try to make this blogging a weekly thing and, so far so good! Today I wanted to make a post about this look that I kinda recreated from Charlotte Crosby (Geordie Shore, Ex on the Beach). I love Charlotte! I like to think of her as my spirit animal - her make up and style are always on point and just something that I like to draw inspiration from. This isn't really going to be a tutorial sort of thing - but I will show the products I used. Continue reading to find out how I got to this final look (sorry I look like a bit of a mong).

I am not entirely sure what event Charlotte wore this makeup for but I really liked it and thought it would be easy to recreate. I used the Nude Magique foundation (that I briefly mentioned here) and it helped to create a really good base with a generous coverage - not the best but it was good enough for this look, and used my essence colour correcting palette (?) and concealer just to fix any redness and blemishes (which was bad that day!). I completed the base by setting it with the Australis Ready Set Go finishing powder and the NYX radiating powder for under my eyes. I also used the Australis contour kit to lightly contour and highlight.

I know I said this wasn't going to be a tutorial but it almost is becoming one! For the eyes, I used the Models Prefer Day to Night Shadows palette and my all time favourite Models Prefer Nude palette (which I briefly went over, here). The lightest colours from both palettes was blended all over the lid - just to make blending the darker shades easier, then the mid colour in the outer half/two thirds of the lid and finally the outer colour was used to darken the outer lid and also through the crease. Also, I dragged a mix of the darker and the mid colour along the bottom lash line. I used the Maybelline Brow Drama to add to my brows and the darkest brown (the one you can see the pan) from the Nude palette to add a bit of structure to my brows as well. To complete it all, I used the Essence liner pen and L'oreal miss manga Mascara - which I didn't actually get a photo of - devasted! I also really needed falsies to complete the look cause Charlotte always wears falsies!

Okay - so yeah this pretty much turned into a really basic tutorial haha. I definitely have to try this look again, but I think I will make the colours a bit more darker next time and get falsies!

If you liked this kinda thing - let me know cause I liked recreating this look a lot!
Also let me know of any other looks that I should recreate.

Mini March Haul

I was going to call this post 'March Haul' until I realised that I didn't buy that much, beauty wise, this month - which is always disappointing - but who cares! This month Priceline had their 40% of beauty sale, which I tried to take advantage of but when I got to my local store there was not much left, however, I got my hands on a few products that I've been wanting to try.

Okay, the first product I got was the Maybelline Browdrama Brow mascara. Who doesn't need more brow sculpting brow products? There were 3 different shades and I got the middle colour which is Dark Brown and it matches my brows pretty well. You can kind of see in the photo below the mascara wand and how it is rounder at the end which brushes through your brows pretty well. I haven't used the product much to be able to properly review it but I'm sure I will get around to letting you know my thoughts.

I also wanted to try the L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint - so I got that in 120 Pure Ivory. L'Oreal describes it as a fresh feel foundation, and that is is their lightest formula ever and it also has added SPF which is only SPF18. I haven't properly applied it but I tried a bit on my cheek and nose and it is very light - I don't expect full coverage from the product but when I apply it properly I will review it as well. Although, I really like the packaging and how it is frosted glass however, it doesn't have a pump so that's kind of a let down.

The last two products I got because they were listed as dupes to the NARS Satin lip pencil in Palais Royal and MAC's Girl About Town - so of course I had to get the drugstore cheapies. Firstly, Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish lipstick in shade 107 (NARS dupe) is such a beautiful colour! I am loving the deep red, wine kinda colours at the moment - and as we are supposed to be coming into the coolers months I think I will start wearing this colour a bit more. Secondly, Covergirl 325 Spellbound lipstick (MAC dupe) is such a pretty pink. I didn't think I would ever wear lipstick let alone buy a lipstick this bright, however I actually love this colour! Also, both these colours make my eyes really stand out - which is one of my features that I really like.

Let me know of any drugstore dupes you think I should add to my collection.

Bedroom Series - Part II

Well, what a month! Another extended period of time that I have been lacking in posts - I'm sorry!! However, let's move on to the more interesting topic and look at the progression of my bedroom. As stated in the previous post I wanted to really decorate my room and give it more of a boho vibe and I feel that I have almost accomplished that - with a limited budget. Without mumbling on anymore lets look at my room!

As you can see in the above photos, I managed to find a wall tapestry and I absolutely love this one! The colours are amazing blues and earthy tones and it even has little elephants printed on it. As you can probably tell, it is a mandala and I love the patterns within it as well. The tapestry, I bought from an Australian (at least I presume it is) store called Tree of Life for $50. You can briefly see my makeup desk in the middle photo and my beautiful perfume collection on the top. The last photo is my bedside table which I usually use to keep my laptop and I added the lamp there as well to add extra light beside my bed.

The most anticipated section of my room, my makeup desk. I haven't been able to paint over the laminex yet, but I kinda like the wood effect anyways so I think I will keep it. I absolutely love the setup of this desk, it is ideal for me. The drawers on the side hold my lipstick, cream blushes and eyeshadows, whilst most used items - like foundation, primer, setting powder - is just kept on the desk. Mascara and eyeliners/pencils sit on top of the drawers as well. I love the cups that I keep my makeup brushes in too. They were from Daiso and cost only $2.80 - which is kinda the point of Daiso. Also, my mirror (that I mentioned in this post) arrived and really completes the theme of my desk.

Finally, to add extra decor to my room, I ordered these prints from Chanelle Nillson. I definitely recommend you check out some of her art.

As I always say - I will be posting more often (this time I mean it!). Hoping to do
either a favourites or a review next.
Let me know which you would like to see (:
