Easy Protein Pancakes

I made these pancakes this morning - as I'm starting my healthy eating plan this week - and they were so good so I thought I'd share the recipe with you. They are super easy to make and taste great! It was literally 2 ingredients - 1/2 cup ground oats and 3/4 cups of egg whites! I blended both ingredients in a nutribullet and it combined the ingredients pretty well. I also added a bit of water towards the end too. When cooking them, wait until the side facing ups gets slightly golden then you will be able to flip them. Because it is mainly egg whites they don't take long to cook and they don't fall apart. I added banana, cinnamon (which I was slightly heavy handed on) and honey to the top, but toppings would be endless.
Let me know if you try this recipe and what you think (:

The Long Bob

Okay - so I did it! I made a big decision - something that doesn't happen often - to chop off my hair! Not all of it, just a smidge of it - okay quite a bit. For me it was quite a bit, considering I love my long hair! So, let's kinda discuss what actually lead me to this point.

PINTEREST.

Pinterest. I seriously thought that site was for mum's who stayed at home and did motherly things like cooking new, weird recipes and doing all their DIY things, but in actual fact, this site has become my life. Let's be honest, I'm a 21 year old, who lives out of home and dedicates her life to pinterest.

Recently - as I was scrolling through my pinterest feed - the idea of the long bob or the 'lob' was a recurring post and it really got me thinking. For years I have despised short hair - mainly because one year I got my hair cut short and layers were added and it seriously looked like I had the worst mullet and I belonged out in the middle of Australia - however, this latest trend had really spiked my interest.

I took the plunge and went for it - and I LOVE it! Couldn't be happier, it doesn't look like a mullet and it doesn't make my head look weirdly fat - and I am on my way to being a stay at home mum ;)
(Not really but hey; pinterest, the lob - I got it going for me!) I also realised tonight that I don't have many photos that accurately showed the length of my hair so I apologise for the lack of photos - but I definitely had to share this change with all my blogging friends!

Bit of a before and after shot - definitely loving the short, blunt cut now!
Tomorrow I plan on figuring out how to curl it - shall be a challenge!

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar tutorial

Yes, I finally bought this palette the other day and I am so in love with it already! The colours are so pretty in this palette and it has a good mix of matte and shimmer shades - so I had to create my own look with it. It is a very natural that I tried to smoke out a bit but it didn't quite work out in my favour but I ended up liking the end result.

Since this (very old) post, my makeup base has changed quite a bit - so I will quickly go over that bit before going into detail with the eye makeup. Firstly, I moisturise using the Dove moisturising lotion and then use a cheap drugstore primer (that isn't pictured here - sorry!) focusing on the t-zone. Unlike most people, I conceal first using the Maybelline FitMe concealer (Light 10) under my eyes, down my nose and on my forehead and chin and blend it with my fingers. Then I do my eyebrows with the ELF eyebrow kit before using the L'Oreal liquid foundation and blending it with a damp sponge. Lastly, I use the yellow highlight shade from the Australis Contour kit under my eyes and the shimmery shade from the same kit on the tops of my cheek bones and the top left shade in the blush palette that is pictured - and that's the base complete! Pretty simple and basic but I don't really have much to cover on my face - so I am pretty lucky on that part. (Please excuse the pout!)

So - onto my favourite part, the eyeshadow!! I really recommend this palette mainly because of the gorgeous colours but more importantly, the whole palette smells like chocolate. The main colours I used from the palette were Coconut Creme, Nougat, Mousse and Cocoa Chili. Starting with Coconut Creme I blended it from the lash line to the top of my eyelid and then went into the crease with Nougat and Mousse. I blended both of the colours together and up before going in with a clean blending brush and blended all the colours across and in. To kind of "smoke out" the eye I used Cocoa Chili, which is a dark brown with gold shimmer colour, across the lash line and along the bottom lash line as well. Using the Essence liquid eyeliner pen I added a slight wing to my eyeliner and to finish off the look, I used the L'Oreal Manga Eyes mascara on my lashes. The final look is below and you can't really see where I smoked out the look but it does show on the bottom lash line which I really like.

I really hope you all like this look that I created - it isn't too out there as I like to keep my makeup pretty simple and neutral but I love the neutral tones and adding a bit of a wing.

Top 5 Beauty Youtubers

As a makeup enthusiast I spend a lot of time on YouTube checking out all the makeup and beauty videos that are around - even if it means watching the same video several times. Because I love all my readers I wanted the share the top 5 beauty youtubers that not only are amazing but also sparked my interest in makeup and inspired me to start my own blog.

Karissa Pukas
Absolutely LOVE Karissa!! A Canadian living in Australia - does that mean I can claim her as an Australian youtuber? All her tutorials are amazing and always uses a range of high-end and drugstore products - which is an added bonus! She recently released her own range of lashes, SocialEyes, which look so amazing I've been tempted to buy some - and I never wear lashes!
Favourite Video: Neutral Eyes - Pink Lips

Tori Sterling
WOW! I love her tutorials so much! Tori is so talented for someone who is only 17 - I look forward to her videos every week. Seriously, her prom tutorials and get ready with me videos are the ones I have recently been looking forward to and I don't even have to prepare for a prom!
Favourite Video: Edgy and Girly Makeup Tutorial

Tanya Burr
Doesn't everyone love Tanya though? Such a down to earth youtuber with videos ranging from tutorials to vlogs - both which I love! Tanya posts a lot of tutorials that create amazing everyday looks and they never look like 'too much' which is something I love! Also, I really want to try a few products from her beauty range as well but I don't know where to find them in Australia!
Favourite Video: Selena Gomez Everyday Tutorial

Zoe Sugg
Like Tanya, everyone loves Zoella! Although she does post tutorials every now and again, I love her monthly hauls and favourites videos. Zoe is definitely someone that has inspired me to start beauty blogging and also seems to encourage me to buy so many products that I need (probably don't need them, but definitely want them!).
Favourite Video: Autumn/Fall Makeup

Manny MUA
Finally, Manny! Seriously Manny is fabulous and his tutorials are amazing and flawless, every single damn time. Okay so he is a male makeup artist but the looks he creates are absolutely amazing and he pulls them off so well! Seriously, all men should wear makeup - have you seen him?
Favourite Video: Silver and Purple Prom Makeup

Other notable mentions; Goss Makeup Artist, Acacia Brinley, Samantha (Batalash) and Shanxo

Who are your favourite YouTubers? I am always open to watching new people so let me know!

April Favourites

Only a slightly bit late to post an April favourites blog - but who cares, these products are worth hearing about! As you can probably tell, my blog has gone through a bit of a make over - one that I am definitely falling in love with and hopefully it's more appealing to my readers as well. I have a few beauty products to tell you about and then a few other things I've been loving in April.

1. Lush Snow Fairy
So, I have been trying to save this tiny bottle for a while and sadly I have run out but, no doubt about it, Snow Fairy will always be my favourite Lush product. The scent is so sweet and man, does my bathroom smell amazing afterwards!
2. Body Shop Satsuma Body Sorbet
Another limited edition range that I love!! The satsuma range from the Body Shop smells amazing - sweet, sweet clementines! Such a summery scent that is amazing! The body sorbet is a lot more moisturising than normal body moisturisers from the Body Shop and another perk is that it doesn't leave an oily, greasy kind of feel on the skin - rather a more satin-y feel which is great!
3. Daiso Charcoal MaskIf you have never shopped at Daiso, you are missing out. I bought this mask a while back after seeing a video that reviewed it saying it shrunk your pores and helped clear out blackheads - so I had to try it, who doesn't want to shrink their pores and face masks are fun! I will admit, peeling it off is a little painful but it's bearable and the results are worth it. It isn't a long term solution but for a few days my pores were noticeably smaller.
4. Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub
I love body scrubs - I will admit that, and this one is my absolute favourite - apart from my Frank body scrub. That beautiful vanilla, maple scent is absolutely divine and my skin feels amazing every time I use it!
5. Lush Dream Cream
I have heard so much about this cream that I had to get some and at first I wasn't convinced but now I love it! The scent was a little overpowering at the start but now I don't mind it, and it really helped my dry skin.
6. Elf Eyebrow Kit (Medium)
For a while I was just using a brown eyeshadow for my brows but since finding this in my little makeup stash - I have fallen in love again! I love gel/cream formulas for my brows - it really allows me to add that extra shape that they need - so I definitely recommend this product!
7. V05 Dry Shampoo
How did I ever survive without dry shampoo?! I've been using a cheaper version but I definitely prefer the V05 one cause if you are going to use it you may as well get a decent one! I don't wash my hair everyday anymore because this dry shampoo works a treat, every time!

Apart from these few beauty products I wanted to mention an album that I've been into through April. The new All Time Low album, Future Hearts, is definitely my jam! It is the All Time Low I fell in love with a few years back and this album is just an awesome release from these guys. Special mention for two songs; Missing You and Tidal Waves featuring Mark Hoppus - both are stuck on repeat constantly.

Please let me know what you think of the new layout (:

Change for the better?

Okay, lately I haven't been too happy with my blog and I really want to revamp it. Give it a new title and just a new atmosphere that is easier to navigate and everything. I feel that when I am happier with my blog I am more inclined to post more often and make better quality posts.

So, with that in mind over the next few weeks I am changing my blog around a bit and hopefully you all like it and find it easier to navigate and read.

In the mean time, keep up to date with my social media accounts;
