Okay, let's be completely honest here - I am not the best person to talk about being motivated, but over the past few months I have really gotten my butt into gear and become, slightly, more motivated to get things done and to look after myself more. So I come bearing my top tips that have helped me become more motivated.
Firstly, I found it helpful to set myself daily goals. They were simple tasks like going to the gym, cleaning my room or even attempting to get up slightly earlier than my usual late sleep ins.
This kinda feeds into my second tip which is to go to the gym! Since joining a gym I have become a lot more motivated and started to care for myself more than before - which is always good! (Self-care is important!) Starting the day by going to gym just really makes my day that much better and it sets me up for work and the rest of the day just feels a lot more relaxed.
My third tip is something that one of the trainers at gym told me and it really put everything I do into perspective and that is to take a look at what other people, in different situations do. A lady at gym is a single mother who has 3 kids under 6 and still manages to go to gym everyday! If that doesn't motivate you, then I don't know what will. Personally, I think that if she has time to go then so should I!
Lastly, learn to not be so hard on yourself. Look after yourself first and foremost, and always strive to do better next time. Even though I try to go to gym everyday - some days I can't make it because I have work early and finish later than expected or other personal commitments come up - but there is always room to improve the following week.
Hopefully these tips can help you out - these personally have worked for me and things that I have been working towards are coming quicker than expected because of these things.
