One Brand - Everyday Makeup Look

Something a little bit different for the blog this week - a one brand, everyday makeup look. Firstly, I'd like to definitely make it clear to all my readers that this isn't a sponsored post - I just have a few Maybelline products that I thought I'd combine and create a look out of. I wasn't paid for this post and these items were all bought with my own money. Now that all of the important disclaimer stuff is out of the way, I will show you what products I used and how I used them to create this final look!

As you can tell the look I created with my limited products was pretty basic - so it is definitely one of my everyday kind of looks. It took me around 5 minutes to finish my makeup which is great if you are time poor or need to leave the house in a hurry.

The products I used were: FitMe Matte and Poreless foundation (120), FitMe Concealer (10), FitMe Powder (12), The Colossal Volume Express Mascara, Brow Drama, BabyLips (Lychee and Mixed Berry and BabySkin primer.

Some of the products were multi-use products - I used the mascara to line my upper lash line and the BabyLips mixed berry to not only add colour to my lips but also as a cream blush. The concealer also acted as a highlight.

I'd definitely suggest buying some of these products - the BabySkin primer is really living up to expectations at the moment and the FitMe range is such a great Maybelline collection, it makes it so much easier to match products to your skin colour. As much as I love some of the BabyLips products they do dry my lips out which kind of annoys me as when I first started using them I never got dry lips. The mixed berry one, however, doesn't dry out my lips so I don't really know what's going on with those products - that's not to say that these products won't work well for you.

I don't think I will stick to a routine like this as I do like to add a bit more colour to my face and the Maybelline products that I do have kinda make my skin look flat - mainly because I don't have any kind of contour or highlight to use. I like doing these kind of posts though so I might rummage around my makeup drawers and see what other brands I can create looks with.

What Maybelline products do you suggest I buy for next time?

  1. I have the maybelline baby skin primer too and I love it! Have you ever tried the maybelline 24 hour color tattoos? They are cream eye shadows that could be used as a smoky eye base or on their own and I love them. I think my fave has to be 'on and on bronze', and I use it as a gold smoky eye base. For sure give them a try if you haven't already!:) x
